'Fifty Shades of Grey' Adds Marcia Gay Harden as Christian Grey's Mother



The casting news keeps rolling in! In case you missed it, we now have our Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey!

On Monday, The Hollywood Reported Marcia Gay Harden would be joining the cast of Fifty Shades of Grey.

"Marcia Gay Harden is the latest actor to be cast for Universal and Focus Features’ Fifty Shades of Grey.  
The erotic drama is currently shooting in Vancouver with Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, the duo at the center of the spanking-hot love story.

Harden will portray Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, the adoptive mother of Christian Grey, Mia Grey (Rita Ora) and Elliot Grey (Luke Grimes).

Looks like we have more casting news today! The role of Bob, Ana's step dad has been cast. Deadline exclusively reported today that Dylan Neal has been cast in the role of Bob.

Dylan Neal is the latest to join the cast of Universal Pictures and Focus Features’ dylanneal1adaptation of EL James’ bestselling Fifty Shades Of Grey. He’ll play Bob, Anastasia Steele’s (Dakota Johnson) stepfather and husband of Carla Adams (Jennifer Ehle). He begins shooting this week in Vancouver. Neal currently stars in Hallmark Channel’s Cedar Cove opposite Andie MacDowell. He is also shooting the second season of The CW’s Arrow, in the recurring role of the villainous Dr. Anthony Ivo. Jamie Dornan has been set to play Christian Grey opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele in the pic directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, which will hit theaters February 13, 2015.

We received these exclusive photos from the set of Fifty Shades of Grey, on the first day of filming in Vancouver. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were filming the coffee shop scene where Christian invites Ana to coffee, after he does the photo shoot in the hotel with her and Jose.

Jamie Dornan Cast As Christian Grey




JAMIE DORNAN CAST AS CHRISTIAN GREY IN UNIVERSAL PICTURES AND FOCUS FEATURES’ FILM ADAPTATION OF “FIFTY SHADES OF GREY”


Jamie Dornan will star as Christian Grey, the lead male character in Universal Pictures and Focus Features’ highly anticipated film adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey". He joins Dakota Johnson, who will star opposite him as Anastasia Steele. The film, which will be released by Focus Features on February 13, 2015 in North America, is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside E L James, the author of the #1 bestselling book on which the film is based. The screenplay is by Kelly Marcel.


Jamie Dornan currently stars on the critically acclaimed television series "Fallen". Previously he was a regular on the series, "Once Upon A Time".

“Fifty Shades of Grey” has become a global phenomenon and the trilogy has been translated in 50 languages worldwide since its release. To date, the “Fifty Shades” trilogy has sold over 70 million copies worldwide in e-book and print, making it one of the fastest-selling book series ever.


Universal and Focus acquired the rights to the three books in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy in March 2012. Focus Features will market and distribute the first film in partnership with Universal.


“Fifty Shades of Grey” follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele. Subsequent novels in the series, “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed,” explore the couple’s deepening relationship.
